About me
Working as part of a TV/film crew is my absolute passion. I enjoy every process of this part of my job, from receiving a script, annotating it, designing make-up and hair to fit the brief, to then applying those designs onto the actors/presenters, whilst working in all sorts of conditions on set.In 2010, my professional journey began, I went to learn the basics in London. From then I worked with many talented photographers back in Derby and Nottingham and started building my portfolio whilst gaining experience. Three years later, I went back to college for another year to study a ‘Level 3 Diploma in Make-up Artistry’. From then, I went on to learn hair by completing my ‘Level 2 and 3 NVQ’s in Hairdressing’ and also trained as an ‘Airbase’ airbrushing make-up professional.
I feel extremely grateful to be doing something that I have loved my whole life. I now regularly work on films, music videos, photo shoots, and with many clients including lots of beautiful brides.

Highlights
-
Since 2013 I have worked on many short films, corporate shoots and music videos as a hair and make-up artist.
I love breaking down the script and designing how the character looks and talking with the director to understand their vision. -
I have always been interested in hair and make-up so have always given people makeovers ever since I can remember.
I have a level 3 diploma in make-up artistry (2013) . Since 2010 I have been working consistently on photo shoots (starting with student, moving onto local business product shoots and actor head shots, then working in a local photography studio making over clients before their photo shoots).
Then I started working on short films in 2013, again starting with student films and moving onto professional short films, two of which have been funded by the B.F.I. and many have won awards at various film festivals.
I have done hair and make-up for many music videos, such as up and coming Irish artist '1000 Beasts'.
I also work on corporate film shoots, previous projects include Microsoft and PKF Cooper Parry.
I started hairdressing in 2013 and completed my level 3 NVQ in 2015, so I am a fully qualified hairdresser. I have worked in 2 salons as a stylist, and now only do mobile hairdressing as it fits in better with working on film and TV. I like to keep on top of my skills and currently completing a bridal hair styling refresher course and will be taking a refresher barbering course in the Summer.
