About me
I am an inspired actor, whom has the drive, dedication, passion and ability to take the creative world in which lives, breathes and thrives within my mind and thoughts and materisalise it into a reality, one in which I can creatively express myself through the art forms of acting and performance aided by the vast training and experience I have in the world of the creative arts.I furthermore am a trained puppeteer whom combines my training in the performance styles of German Expressionism and French Horror such as the Grand Guignol, and fuses these performative aesthetics and styles to create chilling, engaging and unique forms of puppetry theatre.
I hope you enjoy exploring my Star Now page.
Best Wishes and Kind Regards.
Lucas John Mahoney

Highlights
-
I have done various modelling for vintage, theatrical and costume stores. Bringing a sense of character and a unique edgy persona and character to photo shoots.
-
I have experience in the performing arts, alongside a plethora of varying creative hobbies, such as street photography, poetry and humanitarian work.
As an actor I have training and experience in facilitating, performing and teaching an extremely unique practice with a theatre company I was privileged to be apart of for 6 of the 8 years I was in London (CRAFT Theatre), specialising in Grotowski.
During my time with them I was lucky to be involved in award winning documentaries, new exciting devised performances and our own feature length documentary about the situation in Syria “Dog Years.”
Alongside training year round with Craft Theatre, I spent time working and engaging with children, young people and the general public as a performance actor at Madame Tussauds, in which I was recognised by management as one of their most proactive, positive, enaginging and hard working actors.
I have a background in studying French Horror such as The Grand Guignol, magic in theatre, as well as experience working in Puppetry Theatre within my time at University.
Since moving to Manchester, I have been involved with The Performers Playground, training in clown, bouffon, mask and the process of the actor engaging in play and ensemble work, connecting with their pleasure on the stage. I hope to marry my new found discoveries from this practice with my own training to further deepen my own training.
Further to this, in July I will be taking 2 weeks to train with Duende Physical Theatre Company in Lesvos Greece, working alongside leading artists in the arts, dance and theatre, collaborating, creating and training with them.
