BIOGRAPHY:
Dean Weir is an actor from Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland currently living in London. He has recently graduated from studying an Masters Degree in Screen Performance at the University of Bedfordshire and was also a student at Identity School of Acting in London for a year. Other training includes a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts (TV & Stage) at Buckinghamshire New University and an Extended BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts at Southern Regional College - Armagh.
As a member of Spotlight and Equity over the years, Dean has been cast in a multitude of TV and film projects. A few examples include an MA Dissertation project called Red Letter in which he played Detective Eddie the lead character (which won the Spotlight Horror Film Awards), and also a professional Short film called The Last Stop by the Bourne End Video Makers in which he played Jack a supporting actor role, (and won the award for the best film of the year at the clubs annual competition).
As a walk-on actor supporting household names around the country, Dean has had professional experience in TV and film, in virtually everything from commercials, TV shows, Music Videos, Soap Operas, Dramas, Blockbuster films as well as Voice-overs. A couple of examples of speaking roles he had includes Netflix TV Series The Crown as a Junior Doctor with Winston Churchhill who is played by John Lithgow and British TV Comedy Breaking the Bank as the Sarcastic Banker, starring Kelsey Grammer .
One of Dean's latest castings before beginning his MA in Screen Performance was as a supporting actor, The Muscular Boyfriend in the TV Music Video, The 1975 Official Music Video - Somebody Else. Present throughout a large portion of the video, his role included taunting and attacking the lead singer Matt Healy. (It has received over 48 million views on Youtube alone.
